Most Visa applications are rejected due to simple errors such as having the wrong documentation or providing insufficient evidence to warrant a visa.  Skilled migrant agents are essentially an immigration lawyer, and have been on the job for many years and experienced many different scenarios, so they can help you navigate through the various pitfalls.  It also means you leave this to an expert while you focus on your job, your career.

Landas recommends using a Visa Agent, who is an enlisted authority and can drive your entire visa process.  This gives you less to worry about, and a much greater success rate. Landas has a panel of Registered Migrant Agents that we can align with your needs.

What is Permanent Residency in Australia?

New Migrants can become a Permanent Resident of Australia in different ways, but the most common for our customers is via the work-stream permanent visa.

The primary method will be via the Employer Nomination Scheme, where your current employer will need to nominate you.

You can also do this via the Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme visa, which will again require your employer to nominate you. The process can be shorted by committing to work in regional Australia for a period of time.

The final worker-based approach is the Skilled Nominated Visa, where a State or Territory Government must nominate you based on skill and contribution to society.  You must also be under 45 and score 65 points on the points test to qualify.

The minimum cost of the Permanent Residency visa is about $4,000 to $5,000 for the Fee paid to Home Affairs.  The processing time is typically between 4-6 months for the Employer Nomination Scheme, and can be longer for the other approaches.  You will also likely need to pay a fee to a Migration Agent to manage your Permanent Residency Process.

How does the Permanent Residency loan work?

The loan can be used to fund the key expense of the Permanent Residency process:

  • Processing fee payable to the Department of Immigration, a minimum of $4,045
  • Fees for working with a registered immigration agency

We will help you form a budget for this and process your loan on that basis.  It can also be settled in parts based on the timing of payments.  The payment can go directly to your Immigration Agency or we can transfer the funds to your nominated bank account when required.
